On June 29, 2013, at the Unification Room of Hoa Binh Hotel (27 Ly Thuong Kiet, Hanoi), the 2013 Annual General Meeting of Shareholders of Vietnam General Import-Export Joint Stock Company took place with the legal presence/representation of 342 shareholders representing the ownership of 12,495,598 shares, corresponding to 99.21% of the total voting shares of the company. The meeting was very lively, and the majority of shareholders, who are also employees who have worked or are working at the company, unanimously agreed to approve the proposals of the meeting. In 2012, amidst a very challenging economic environment, under the close direction of the Board of Directors, the Executive Board focused on leading and directing solutions decisively. Although the business results did not meet the desired targets, the company still ensured profitability and completed some business plan targets for 2012 as approved by the General Meeting of Shareholders on March 27, 2012.
